Get to know Mary Rumsey

Mary Renninger Rumsey violin, viola and beginning piano teacher at the music and arts in Exton, Pa. began  piano study at  5 years  old. began violin study at  8 years old with  hungarian 80 year old robert Hudack who taught her  first through fifth position duets and he wrote pieces for her musical family.  he died and Mary learned in the council rock elementry school until she was  eleven years old and was then given a three quarter size violin. She became the student of mrs. elaine feliesky spraw a graduate of the Cleveland Conservatory who started her on the Mozart cONCERTO nUMBER fIVE The Turkish Concerto. She, Mrs. Spraw heald bi-annual recitals for her many student s in Yardley, Pa. IN seventh grade Mary won the music award and also the first prixe in the Delaware Valley Science Fair . She made a Balalika and grew pictures of instruments from egypt and  other nations she went to the Franklin Institute. From  eighth grade she was Concertmisttree. She played all of the Solos in Oliver. Richard MEADER A Cellist was the ORCHESTRA cONDUCTOR AND WHEN HE WAS TO BE LATE mary conducted the orchestra. Her younger sister Sally was second chair cellist. Mary made county orchestra in sisth grade, the districts in tenth and regionals in twelth garade
