Matt May is an award-winning pianist, performing regularly as a soloist and collaborative pianist throughout the United States and Europe, including performances in Washington, DC; Maryland; Virginia; California; Texas; Wisconsin; Austria; and Italy; performing for audiences including international dignitaries, ambassadors, and governmental officials.
As a collaborative pianist, Matt has accompanied groups such as the Oakland Youth Chorus, Carroll University Concert Choir, the Accompany of Kids show choir, Kairos Children Choir, and others, and performed with various local and international musicians.
Matt enjoys teaching students of all ages and ability levels, and his students consistently receive top awards in various festivals and competitions. Matt has been teaching piano for over 12 years.
Active in sacred music, Matt has led musical worship at the Archdiocese of Baltimore’s Central Maryland Rite of Election, the Mid-Atlantic Catholic Congress in Baltimore, MD, the National Catholic Youth Conference in Washington, DC, including various churches and cathedrals of different denominations throughout the DC/MD/VA Metropolitan Area, the Greater Milwaukee Metropolitan Area, the San Francisco Bay Area, the Southwest US, Austria, and Italy.
