About Matt Soriano
Get to know Matt Soriano
Matt Soriano is the snare instructor for the Raiders Drum and Bugle Corps and the battery caption head at Edison High School in Edison, NJ. He marched in various drumlines, including Cadets 2019-2020, United Percussion 2019, Cadets 2017-2018, Bushwackers 2016, and Jersey Surf 2015. He went to Old Bridge High School, where he marched the drumline, getting a bronze medal at WGI Scholastic Open Class Championships in 2018 under the direction of Chris Thatcher and under the instruction of Alessandro Sestito. Currently, Matt attends Rutgers University where he is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a minor in Linguistics. He was in Mason Gross School of the Arts, where he studied under Joe Tompkins, Dr. Javier Diaz, Ian Sullivan, and Dr. Mike Truesdell. During his years of Drum Corps, Matt was taught by renowned educators, such as Paul Nalesnik, Jake Gall, Tom Aungst, and Alan Aungst. This is Matt's 2nd season with the Raiders Drum and Bugle Corps.
