Performance Experience: From stages at the Berklee Performance Center, to world class studios in New York, Mauricio has spent a lot of time performing in both live and private settings, giving him a wide set of skills applicable to any scenario in music.

Teaching Philosophy: In his own words - the music comes first. Reading is important, and so is music theory, but the most critical part to learning an instrument is passion and drive. The goal is to make the student's eyes glow with inspiration when they finally strike a chord and hear the elegant sound of music, amplified.

Get to know Mauricio Bernal Morales

Mauricio Bernal-Morales is a professional recording engineer and freelance guitarist. After studying at Berklee college of Music from 2012 to 2016, he graduated and went on tour as an audio engineer for groups like Modern English, The Beach Boys, New Politics, and more. After touring, he started working at Berklee College of Music in Boston as a Studio Manager, where he acquired leadership skills and a host of tools that enabled him to expand his expertise beyond the realm of musicianship and into the world of business. He then started his own company, Dudes That Record in 2022, and is training engineers across the east coast from New York to Atlanta.

The guitar met his palms after playing the violin in elementary school, and his music career became set in stone once he studied under the likes of Jesse Hensley, Tomo Fujita, Scotty Johnson, and more, amassing a total of over 15 years of professional live music experience, from the stage to the studio, covering genres from Blues, Classic Rock, to RnB and Soul.
