About Meg Markwith

My name is Meg Markwith and I'm an Expert Teacher with Music and Arts in Southington. I'm available to teach piano, voice, and oboe both in-store and online! Whether this is your first time taking music lessons or you've played/sung before, I'd love to work with you to meet your needs and goals as your private teacher. I graduated summa cum laude from The Hartt School of Music in 2017, achieving my Bachelor of Music in Performance and went on to earn my Masters of Education in Kodály Music Education from Loyola University Maryland. Bringin both of these skill sets to the table makes me unique as an instructor - I know what goes into making a truly well-rounded musician while also having the chops to help you become a top-notch performer in the moment. Above all, it's most important to me that my students leave each lesson with a smiles on their faces ... Music should bring joy to those that perform and hear it!

When I'm not pursuing musical endeavors, you can find me playing with my two dogs or with a Nintendo Switch in my hand - I'm always up for a game or two to melt away some stress.
