Teaching Philosophy: I strongly believe in the power of learning by doing when it comes to teaching music. I have my students engaging their instrument on their first lesson. I follow these steps: Hear it, model it, practice it, perform it. I also am very passionate about teaching music using things that are familiar with students. I let them dictate where they want to go with their instrument and I as their teacher help them achieve that goal. Within this, I also teach the fundamentals of their instrument.
