Performance Experience: PARTICIPANT IN THE YOUNG ARTIST COMPETITION, INTERCOLLEGIATE HONORS CONCERT BAND, SOUTH CAROLINA ALL-STATE BAND, SOUTH CAROLINA REGION BAND/ REGION BAND 1ST CHAIR AND SOLOIST 2012, Marching band, Jazz Band, and Concert Band soloist, Brass Quintet participant at Limestone College.
Teaching Experience: Private trumpet teacher while attending Limestone college.
Teaching Philosophy: My goal as a teacher is to help the student reach their full potential. I will teach them how to practice, set goals for themselves, and gain the knowledge they need to succeed as a musician
Get to know Miles
My name is Miles Hampton. I was born in Newberry, South Carolina, and grew up in Spartanburg. I started playing trumpet in the sixth grade. I've made All-state Band twice and Region band three times. I was awarded outstanding brass player and have performed in many ensembles over the years like the Carolina Youth Symphony, Intercolligate band, and have performed in small ensembles at Converse. I am currently getting my Master's in trumpet performance at Converse College. I am looking forward to teaching students the art of trumpet.
