Teaching Philosophy: Maya's lessons are centered around each individual student and their interests and is a big advocate for play based learning. She believes that students should be shown a love of music through their right to explore. She fully believes that music is a language that allows each student to express their personalities.
Get to know Maya
Maya Doran is available to teach string students violin, viola, cello, and ukulele. She studied strings in college, with a focus on viola. Growing up in rural Illinois, her passion comes from her father influencing her musical personality. Maya has taught students in both the general music classroom and in private lessons format. She has studied orchestra since the age of nine and sang in collegiate choirs.
