About Natalie Burr

Get to know Natalie Burr
My primary instrument is Viola and my secondary instrument is Piano.
I grew up in Hamilton, New Jersey, just outside the city of Trenton where my interest in music first started. Throughout elementary school I was given many opportunities to play in various orchestras and other music events. After moving a few times, my family settled down in Manahawkin, New Jersey where I went to middle and high school. Throughout those years I was principal violinist and violist in Southern Regional Middle and High School’s Select Orchestras, a singer in the middle school’s Vocal Ensemble, a Concert Pianist in the high school’s Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, and Pit Orchestra.
I was also a Jazz Pianist in the high school's Jazz Band, a violinist and principal violist in the Garden State Youth Philharmonic Symphony and Chamber Orchestras, was a leader of Waretown United Methodist Church’s Praise Band, and was also a Private Music Teacher.
While attending Lebanon Valley College I had many opportunities to play viola and piano in various Pit Orchestras in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, was a violist in the college’s Symphony and Chamber Orchestras, and was an administrator, leader and musician for the college’s student-led worship service called Let’s Be Real.
I was also given many opportunities to teach and conduct in various field placements, became a Private Teacher at Central Penn Music, and was given the amazing opportunity to be the Pit Instructor for the Palmyra Area High School Marching Band during their 2018 season. Throughout the years I have also had the great privilege to pick up many instruments and have fun learning how to play each of them.
After receiving a job offer from the Charleston County School District in 2019, I relocated over 700 miles away from my family and friends to start my career and have enjoy two amazing years at North Charleston Creative Arts Elementary. Next year I will teaching at Zucker Middle, Goodwin Elementary, and Lambs Elementary. I look forward to what the future has in store.
