Education: Special Education and Music Teacher at the Fresh Start School in Canton, CT. Marched mellophone in DCI with 7th Regiment. Performed in the Danbury Symphony Orchestra as well as several chamber and large ensembles. While French Horn is main instrument, also has experience playing jazz and classical trumpet. Has a B.S. in Music Education at Western Connecticut State University and currently pursuing a M.M. in Composition at The Hartt School of Music.
Performance Experience: Danbury Symphony Orchestra (French Horn), WCSU Wind Ensemble (Principal Horn), WCSU Brass and Woodwind Quintets (French Horn), Highland Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps (Brass Instructor), 7th Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps (Mellophone), Windham Concert Band (Assistant Director and French Horn), Enfield Public Schools and New Bedford Public Schools (Marching Band Music Instructor), The Fresh Start School in Canton, CT (Music and Special Education Teacher)
Teaching Experience: Having recently started my teaching career, I am looking forward to helping beginners and experienced players on their music journey!
Teaching Philosophy: As a Special Education and Music Teacher, I firmly believe in individualizing my teaching techniques to match the students that I have. I know that there is no "one side fits all" methodology of teaching music. I will always customize my teaching methods according to what is going to be most useful and applicable to the success of my students to ensure a safe and encouraging learning environment.
