Get to know Noel Schwenk
You can expect a relaxed and disciplined approach that is performance based. Every lesson begins with a performance; development toward music mastery; Technique & theory; finally, new music to help you improve from new challenges. Noel studied with jazz pianist Basil Ronzitti and guitarist John Holmquist. He was a top finalist in the 1995 Estock Award Competition at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, and first prize winner of the 1998 Pittsburgh Guitar Olympics. Pedagogic and academic achievements include Co-authoring the 2006 Music Curriculum Guidebook for the Diocese of Cleveland, and also publication of his master’s thesis “Analyzing Contemporary Music from a Performer’s Perspective” in the Guitar Foundation of America’s Spring 2000 edition of Sounboard Quarterly Journal.
