With a tailored approach that emphasizes on sight reading, understanding, playing and performing music, John Stutte’s unique coaching methods resonate with most students.  John has 30 years of teaching experience in styles including classicism, modernism, Broadway, folk and rock.

John is a specialist in Royal Conservatory of Music Certification, an academically accredited path of training for young piano and theory students.  

He is classically trained with multiple approaches to piano mastery.  His degrees include a BA in piano performance from Columbia College and a Master’s Degree from University of Missouri.  He also studied 3 years with Eugene Haynes, an American classical pianist, composer and music pedagogue who trained at the Juilliard School in New York and with Nadia Boulanger in Paris.

John is also experienced with musical theatre, including full composer credits on three musicals, various productions including international and NYC off-Broadway venues.
