About Oxana Nero
Get to know Oxana Nero
I remember my first experience with piano at the age of 4. In my toy room I had a red wooden piano with about 20 keys on it, and I would play with it and improvise notes and songs. As I started taking piano classes at the age of 6, I attended a music school for children, and it was an 8-year program. These classes included choir, theory, and music history. Then I started my 4 college piano studies at the Kurgan Regional Music College at age 15. During college I would attend as many performances as I could and began to really focus on my career as a pianist. After graduating the music college most of my stage performances were associated with assisting students’, recitals where I served as an accompanist for the choirs, vocal, and strings groups. In 2005 I started my music career in US by participating in the worship band at the “Abundant Life” church in Ridgeway, PA. Throughout my teaching career, many of my students participated in the US open Competition in Oakland CA. Some were enrolled into Certificate of Merit annual state test. For adult students I’ve been using the RMM (Recreational Music Making) with lots of success. I use several visual aids and equipment (toys, clappers, drawing boards, magnetic buttons, audio) for my younger students ages 3.5-6 years old.
