About Pat Hand

I've been teaching piano for over 40 years, and voice about 30 -- mostly in Oregon and Washington State.  Besides teaching music, I also worked as an accompanist and music and theater director.  Although I was born and raised in New Jersey, I moved to LA where I completed a Film Scoring  Certificate, achieving my childhood goal of composing music for film. But  Oregon resumed my teaching piano, voice, choirs, drama, accompanying, composing and directing . My experience as a choral  member for several years in  the Glory Singers  gave me treasured moments of performing in Portland, Oregon and touring in Prague, Vienna and Salzburg.  At this time I've returned to New Jersey and looking forward to teaching once again. I believe learning music should be a stress-free adventure and a lifetime appreciation of all the arts.
