Get to know Patricia Rose
I grew up in a home filled with arts and music. My father had been singing and playing guitar for me since I was born. My family always implored me to find what moved me so at age 11 I joined the school orchestra to play the cello. I was enamored; I loved it's sound, I loved it's mystery, I loved learning everything about it. By age 14 this curiosity led me to learning the viola and, shortly thereafter, the violin. By age 15 I was taking private cello lessons to prepare for university.
In 2010, I began my music studies at Salisbury University with primary focus on cello, but my curiosity drove me to music theory and composition where I spent an equal amount of effort, attention, and dedication. I had the privilege to play and collaborate with several esteemed musicians and gain unique experience during my studies at SU. In 2017, I earned two bachelors degrees in both music and visual arts.
I've been an active member of the Salisbury Symphony Orchestra for 13 years now and strive to be an active, contributing member in the Salisbury music community.
