About Pete Cowett

Pete Cowett is a talented and creative performing musician and instructor in the Northern Virginia Area and is experienced in many aspects of the musical arts including performance, education, and studio recording.

Pete received his BA in Music and has been teaching Guitar for over 30 years. He is currently the music leader at Daybreak Community Church in Ashburn, and has performed in several local area bands throughout his music career.

Pete has performed at The Kennedy Center, Canadian Embassy, Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, and on numerous WMZQ remote broadcasts, in night clubs, at private parties and for local television and radio shows.

He is eager to share his love for music with both children and adults. Pete is committed to using music the student is passionate about, to teach essential skills and back them up with small doses of theory, helping the student to become a musician and not just a guitar player.
