About Ray Zepeda

Mr. Zepeda received his bachelor's degree in Music Education from the University of Illinois. Mr. Zepeda's primary instrument is trombone and his secondary instrument is the euphonium. During his time student teaching, r. Zepeda worked with the Traughber Junior High School bands leading the 6th grade brass and woodwind/percussion classes, and 7th grade woodwind sections. Mr. Zepeda also successfuly conducted the 6th-8th grade ensembles during their final concert of the year. He also worked with the Yorkville High School Concert Bands. 

Mr. Zepeda has also studies jazz with Jim Pugh who has play trombone with Steely Dan, Pink Floyd, Yo-Yo Ma, Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson, and many other popular/classical artists. He also played in the University of Illinois jazz bands throughout his colligate experience. Me. Zepeda has also led the Yorkville High School Jazz Band 2 while he was student teaching.
