Performance Experience: I've performed in dozens of concert band and orchestra concerts since I was able to do so in school, both as a flutist and a piccolo player. I've performed with churches, theater companies, and other colleagues on recitals throughout the years as well. Some of my favorite stage show experiences include Shrek: The Musical, Mary Poppins, and Kiss Me Kate.
Teaching Experience: Flute Teacher, Music & Arts Alexandria, Aug 2021-Present | Flute Teacher, Potomac Music (Lorton, VA), Jan 2020-Present | Volunteer Flute Coach, Urbana Middle School, Spring 2019 | Chamber Coach, Evansville University Floot Fire Summer Workshop, Summer 2016
Teaching Philosophy: What is most important to me when a student joins my studio is that they find joy and confidence when they play. To foster that, I take an all-encompassing approach, incorporating elements of music theory, body awareness, and healthy mindsets into my teaching. I believe that music has the potential to bring out the best in anyone, and it is my job to help you find it.
