Performance Experience: Has played with the Cincinnati Youth Orchestra, Junior and Senior Recitals in undergrad, 5 years professional viola performance experience.
Teaching Experience: Interned with a Youth Orchestra and an Adult Orchestra teaching sectionals and private lessons. Taught 5-6th grade band and orchestra for one semester of student teaching. Taught 5th grade orchestra as a long-term substitute teacher for one semester.
Teaching Philosophy: I believe that everybody should be allowed to learn the gift of music, no matter the circumstance. I work with my students on their individual needs to fulfill all of their goals.
Get to know Rebecca Jenei
Hi, I am Rebecca, a strings teacher at Music & Arts in Bowie, MD! I offer lessons in violin, viola, cello, and even string bass. I earned a degree in 2019 for Music Education from Baldwin Wallace University of Ohio, and currently teach K-5 music in Anne Arundel County. I love teaching private lessons because it gives me an opportunity to help students grow as a musician in a setting where the focus is on them. I have experience teaching students aged Kindergarten through adulthood of all levels. I can't wait to share my love of string instruments with you!
