She has been playing the piano since she was 8 years old and by 12 years began as an accompanist in her church. Currently, she accompanies her church choir and has been a frequent soloist throughout the years. She worked full-time for HealthOne for nearly 17 years as a clerk while teaching private piano and private voice part-time after work in her home, but in 2018 decided to retire from full-time work and teach private piano and voice lessons full-time.
Renée loves sharing her musical talent with students who are eager to learn how to sing better and play the piano. Her teaching style is catered to the student, as every student learns differently. Therefore, she will strive to find the best way to individually teach each student in ways they will understand so they can progress in the best way possible. She loves attending music concerts, especially when one of her students is performing. She also has been a part of the Englewood Summer Dramas since 2013, performing as Mrs. Bedwin in “Oliver” and the Mother Abbess in “The Sound of Music”. She has five grown children and seven grandchildren
