Performance Experience: Richard is an active gigging musician along the east coast & has played in many local venues including The Queen, HomeGrown, Grain, Dogfishhead, & Kahunaville. He plays in cities including Philadelphia (Trocadero, First Unitarian Church, Milkboy, World Cafe Live, etc.), New York (Brooklyn Bowl, Knitting Factory, etc.) & Boston (The Middle East, TT the bears, BPC, etc) in either a solo, or band capacity. Recently, he was featured online in Jam in the Van for Orange Amplifiers.
Teaching Experience: Over 25 years private instruction
Teaching Philosophy: Customized lesson plans are offered for his students that set personalized goals, adhere to his philosophy of “following the passion”, and blend expertise in music theory with contemporary song study, performance, and playing with “feel”. Richard is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and recording artist based out of Chesapeake City, Maryland. With over 15 years of professionally teaching music, Richard specializes in Guitar, and Ukulele, and accommodates most levels, and styles of musical interest. Richard’s music studies are varied and span over 25 years through private instruction, attending Berklee College of Music for Guitar Performance and Songwriting, gigging, and extensive work in the studio.
