About Rick McGee

Get to know Rick McGee
Rick McGee has been teaching both one-on-one and group guitar lessons for over 35 years. He was the guitarist for The Four Horsemen American rock band, which was popular in the 80s and 90s for blues-influenced hard rock, and also worked with Warner Brothers Records and American Recordings record label (formerly Def American Records).
Rick has his B.A. in History and Classical Guitar Performance from Christopher Newport University and a M.A. Ed from the College of William and Mary. While classical guitar is his favorite area of instruction, Rick can also teach acoustic and electric guitar, bass guitar, banjo, ukulele, piano, beginning violin, classical guitar ensemble, music theory, and technique. Rick is a public school educator during the week, and he loves to rock climb on the weekends.
Rick is available to teach multiple days a week with us only at Marietta Ken Stanton Music & Arts on Cobb Pkwy, so give us a call or stop by to sign up while he still has availability!
