Education: I am currently pursuing a degree in Jazz and Commercial Music Composition. With this I hope to inspire others with music in the same way it inspired me! Writing, performing and teaching are just some of the ways I hope to give back what music gave to me!
Performance Experience: I have been performing since 2015. I have played in over a dozen cities and states. I have worked with artists in the pop, blues, country, rock, punk, worship, rap and metal scenes.
Teaching Experience: My teaching experience began in high school around 2016. Teaching friends and fellow students just because I loved music and wanted to share that love. In high school I became band president and class instrumentalist. This helped me branch out from working with just students and friends and launched me into pursuing music full time.
Teaching Philosophy: I love people and one of my biggest passions is inspiring others! I hope to use what inspires my students passion for music to help fuel their education so they are in love with what they do rather than just learning.
Get to know Riley Chrisman
I have been involved in music for over a decade. I started my early days in middle school grabbing as many instruments as I could. This also kicked off my live performance work. This live performance work has introduced me to many cities and artists. This helped me explore a dynamic range in different styles of music that I enjoy listening to and learning. There is not a style of music I cannot learn, perform, or teach. With this diversity I hope to have the adequate taste/skills required to teach any student no matter what music inspires them!
