About Robert Van De Riet

A musician since 6 years old, starting on classical piano, Robb has known music most of his life. By 12 & 13 he'd taught himself bass and guitar and at 21 enrolled in Shenandoah University Conservatory of Music as a classical guitarist. That same year hearing Charlie Parker, jazz music revolutionized his life. He graduated with a Bachelors of Music in Commercial Music majoring in jazz piano and recording engineering and minoring in jazz and classical guitar. He has played with several notable musicians (Bob Berg, Randy Bracker, etc) and shared stages and concerts with many others both locally and regionally. When not teaching or performing he spends time with family and home in his garden or with friends.
