Teaching Experience: I've been teaching private lessons on bass and guitar for 7 years! I have had the opportunity to teach students of all age ranges and experience levels, and I'm extremely passionate about sharing my knowledge and passion for music with my students.
Teaching Philosophy: My teaching philosophy is centered on keeping my students engaged by basing our lessons around what genres or styles of music a student is interested in, and developing the student's knowledge of theory and technique by drawing on concepts from those styles and genres. I am a huge believer in the importance of understanding music theory and teaching it in tandem with ear-training in a hands-on manner!

Hi, I'm Sarah!
I've been playing bass for about 12 years, and guitar for 6 years. I started playing professionally as a high school student and continue to have regular shows with local bands and artists. I've had the pleasure of playing in pit orchestras, jazz big bands, jazz fusion trios, rock bands, and alongside R&B artists and singer-songwriters. I started teaching private bass lessons at 16, and have always loved helping others learn something new; I firmly believe that nobody is ever finished learning, and there's always room to grow! I hope to encourage my students to become well-rounded players that love their instrument and want to share their talents with others.
