Performance Experience: Has performed from Portland, ME to Los Angeles, CA: either as a solo artist or a member of Cold Coffee or The Lost Pilots.
Teaching Experience: Teaching private lessons since 2004. Has taught courses at Syracuse University and Utica College
Teaching Philosophy: There are almost as many ways of learning as there are musicians. But fundamentals remain the same. I try to find a way to make the fundamentals interesting, while finding the most effective way to work with the individual students, and to bring out their best.

Get to know Sean Dillman

Sean Dillman is a singer-songwriter and music producer in the Rochester, NY area. A former lead guitarist for the bands Cold Coffee and The Lost Pilots, he has since released three full-length solo albums.

He specializes in roots music (folk, jazz, blues & old country) and Album-Oriented Rock, often utilizing alternate tunings and a variety of slide, fingerstyle, and flatpicking techniques.

Sean studied Sound Design at Syracuse University, and has also mixed sound for a number of television series, films, and industrial productions.

A member of ASCAP and the Audio Engineering Society, Sean has taught courses at Syracuse University and Utica College. He is currently pursuing an MFA degree in Music Composition.
