Shakirah is a violin teacher with a dual background in Violin Performance and Neuroscience. A University of Georgia graduate, she’s been a classically trained violinist since 2009, trained in the Suzuki Method under professional Violinist Adam Crane. Shakirah has performed as a First Violinist in The University of Georgia's Philharmonia and has played in multiple orchestras across Georgia.
Her achievements include performances at the Georgia Governor’s Mansion and Universal Studios, as well as recognitions like Musician of the Year and Outstanding Musician in Berkmar High School's orchestra. As a Neurotherapist, Shakirah used her neuroscience background to support students with diverse cognitive needs, blending music and therapeutic techniques to build confidence, concentration, and motor skills. Her teaching philosophy focuses on customizing lessons to each student, fostering creativity, and making music a fun, expressive journey.
