About Shane Horn

Who I Am:

I've been a saxophonist for almost 20 years now, when I started learning in public school way back in 3rd grade, and continued learning on my own after graduating. In my past I've played in my high school's production of Peter Pan and In The Heights, played countless Jazz concerts for my school featuring as a soloist in the majority of our songs, I've had the honor of performing with the All-Shore Jazz Band, and marched with my schools marching band for 4 years while we played at the top of our division.

What I Do:

I'm trained in Jazz, Symphonic Orchestra, Musical theater, Rock Solo, and currently practice Experimental Performance. Some of my biggest inspirations are Clarence Clemons who played with Bruce Springsteen, Leo (Leo P) Pellegrino of Too Many Zooz, and Colin Stetson who is known for his movie soundtrack work in Hereditary (2018), The Menu (2022), and countless other films. I'm a published musician with my catalog available on all streaming services under Shane Horn.

How I Teach:

I'm a strong believer in the "do-what-works-best-for-you" method, and I excitedly help my students discover who they are and what kind of musician they desire to grow in to. Whether you're getting private lessons to master your schools concert or you want to learn for fun, i can help develop your skills to fully master your instrument. I'm flexible, knowledgeable, and always willing to work in whatever manor is best for your rising star.
