      Performance Experience: Sharis has performed on many stages throughout her career. She plays solo and has performed in many bands within all types of genres. She has lead a couple of all female classic rock bands in CA and HI. She has also performed with folk-rock, country, rock, blues and currently bluegrass bands in NJ, PA, VA and WV. Sharis has performed in all sorts of settings and events from venues to farms and weddings and festivals.
      Teaching Experience: Nearly 20 years
      Teaching Philosophy: Choose a song you love. Learn it and practice, practice, practice! The more time you spend with your instrument, the better you will become!

      Get to know Sharis Swartley

      Sharis has been singing, playing guitar and songwriting since she was 10 years old. She performs solo, and in various genres and bands. She has five self-produced CDs that she has created of all original music. She performs solo, and in various genres and bands.  Sharis taught Elementary Music Education for nearly 20 years, lead a school choir and directed and produced many musicals. She also lead Open Mics for many years in New Jersey. She has a very encouraging, supportive nature and loves to see her student's confidence grow as their  performance skills grow!
