About Shayla Montero

I am a dedicated trumpet instructor with over 10 years of playing experience across various genres, including classical, jazz, funk, orchestral, and Latin music. Currently studying classical trumpet at the collegiate level, I have had the privilege of performing with various bands, including one of my most memorable performances at Carnegie Hall. With 4 years of teaching experience, I specialize in working with beginner to intermediate trumpet players, helping them develop their skills, musicality, and confidence. Additionally, I have a strong background in music theory, which I incorporate into my lessons to help students deepen their understanding of music and better their performance. My passion for music and teaching drives me to create a supportive and engaging learning environment for all my students.
