About Stephen Parker

Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA into a musical family, Steve began his musical journey studying flute at age seven and at the age of 12, he began playing guitar and developing a passion for the instrument that continues to this day.  He has performed with artists including Ravi Coltrane, The Ohio Players, Glen Sobel (Alice Cooper, Hollywood Vampires), Charlie Wilson, Ralph Williams, John Daversa, Dave Winans, and many others, and has played on sessions for television jingles and film scores.  He was also part of the United States Army Band assigned to the 1^st Armored Division Special Troops Battalion in Wiesbaden, Germany, where he performed in festivals and concerts throughout Europe and Asia. Steve is highly proficient in the areas of harmony and sight reading, is well versed in the genres of jazz, fusion, rock, R&B, funk, and country, and studied music at the Naval School of Music, Santa Monica College, and California State University, Los Angeles, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree.
