Teaching Experience: Taylor has been privately teaching and serving as a low brass instructor throughout South-East since 2015. Teaching Philosophy: I believe that students are their own best assets, whether at an individual level or a peer wide level. Students can learn best from themselves and their peers, given the right structure, instruction, and tools. By focusing on individual student needs and cultivating a safe, structured, and consistent environment, it allows students the opportunity to teach themselves, others, and to intuitively problem solve.

Get to know Taylor

Taylor S. Workman is a second year Masters Euphonium Graduate Assistant at the University of Arizona studying under Dr.Matt Tropman. A graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, Ms.Workman holds degrees in Music Education and Euphonium Performance. During her undergraduate years, she studied with Professor Jim Willett and collaborated to create and found The Richmond Tuba Society, an ITEA affiliate and Eastern Kentucky University Organization. She also served as a member of the Collegiate Kentucky National Association for Music Education in 2018. Post graduation in 2015, Ms. Workman served as an elementary educator as well as a community performer. Ms.Workman plans to graduate with a Masters in Euphonium Performance in 2023 and will continue to pursue her studies and passion for education.
