About Terrell Worrell
Get to know Terrell Worrell
My musical journey has been an unconventional one. I fell in love with music at a young age and never really fell out of it. Though I majored in Commercial Art and Design earning a BFA Degree from Virginia State University, my formal study of piano began at that same university. While at VSU I also sang in the choir at my church, played bass guitar, saxophone and drums. I appeared on several of the albums at the time singing and playing bass and saxophone.
Later I relocated to the DMV and began playing the saxophone and the bass guitar at the Church of Jesus Christ in Washington DC. I also began to attend The Catholic University of America where I studied music composition, piano and voice. Along with the Catholic University Choir I sang at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception as well as DAR Constitution Hall.
As a supernumerary I appeared in the Washington National Opera’s productions of Carmen and Eugene Onegin.
I’ve also written, produced, directed and performed in numerous plays and productions, musicals which were performed at the Church of Jesus Christ in Washington DC and other venues.
I’ve also written, composed, arranged and or recorded hundreds of songs over the course of my musical journey.
Although times and much has changed since I first began this journey, one thing has remained the same. And that being…
My love for music.
