Performance Experience: I have appeared in opera productions such as Cosi fan tutte, The Magic Flute, Hansel und Gretel, and Mother of Us All. I also originated the operatic role of Tranio in The Taming, an opera first performed in 2020 at UNC. Additionally, I have participated in NATS Colorado-Wyoming and placed in the classical category.
Teaching Experience: I have taught for 2 years, and I have enjoyed the process of helping people find their voice.
Teaching Philosophy: I believe that the whole body needs to be involved in singing. I also believe in the mantra "do no harm." I want my student to experience joy and ease in singing.

Get to know Terrence Mckenzie

I just recently finished my master of music performance at The University of Northern Colorado, with my undergraduate degree in music performance at William Carey University in Hattiesburg, MS. I have appeared in opera productions such as Cosi fan tutte, The Magic Flute, Hansel und Gretel, and Mother of Us All. I also originated the operatic role of Tranio in The Taming, an opera first performed in 2020 at UNC. Additionally, I have participated in NATS Colorado-Wyoming and placed in the classical category.

Although my education and training is primarily in classical and musical theatre, I am well-suited to teaching voice in pop and jazz.
