Teaching Philosophy: I have a strong belief that everyone can learn. Every student should be allowed to access education. Although some students receive minimal resources, each student can learn with the proper teacher. Some students do not work well in specific environments, but all students are capable of learning. Teaching should never hinder a student's learning capability. Using tier 2 & 3 instruction allows students to develop socially and mentally.

Get to know Terrence Sotillio

Terrence Sotillio is a native of Bedford, Ohio, and has earned a bachelor of music education degree with instrumental emphasis from Jackson State University. Alongside his study of music education, Mr. Sotillio minored in business administration. Through his degrees, Mr. Sotillio has the certification to teach in business (7-12) and music education (k-12) in the state of Maryland and Mississippi. Mr. Sotillio has studied clarinet with Kevin Giordano (2013-2015) and Lowell Hollinger (2015-2020).
Mr. Sotillio has performed clarinet and oboe with the Historically Black College/University National Band Director Consortium. Also, he has joined the National Education Association, National Association for Music Education, and Mississippi Association of Educators. Some of the schools Mr. Sotillio has worked with Bedford High School, Jim Hill High School, Northwest Middle School, Blackburn Middle School, Raines Elementary School, Baker Elementary School, Isable Elementary School, Legends Charter School, and Levine School of Music.
