About Terry Minor

Terry Minor teaches beginner to intermediate oboe and flute, and beginner to advanced clarinet and saxophone. His encouraging, patient, and flexible lessons balance technique, musicianship, and enjoyment while adapting to each student's pace, interests, and goals. In his lessons, students can explore classical, jazz, and blues while developing rhythm. Terry encourages students to become confident, thoughtful, and increasingly independent musicians. He supports preparation for auditions, school music programs, and college preparation, as well as music-making for personal fulfillment. Terry has a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from Fayetteville State University and has been a North Carolina public school teacher for 21 years.
