About Theresa Riffle

Theresa Riffle is a dedicated and experienced private music instructor specializing in woodwind instruments. She received her Bachelor’s in Music Education, cum laude, from The Ohio State University and her Master’s in Music Education from Kent State University. Theresa has spent over 35 years helping students of all ages and skill levels build strong foundations and develop their unique musical voices. 

With a supportive and engaging teaching style, Theresa uses her expertise in diagnosing technical deficiencies and developing personalized learning strategies to tailor each lesson to the individual goals and interests of the student—whether preparing for auditions, school band programs, or simply learning for the love of music. Emphasis is placed on tone production, technique, rhythmic accuracy, sight-reading, and musical expression, ensuring well-rounded growth.

Theresa is also a singer/songwriter who loves to help students learn to tap into their own creativity. Passionate about creating a positive and motivating learning environment, she strives to instill both skill and confidence into every student.
