      Get to know Theresa Thienpont

Theresa studied piano and voice at Delta College in Bay City, Michigan, at College of the Mainland in Texas City, Texas, and at the University of Montevallo in Montevallo, Alabama.  She has been a piano and voice instructor in the Birmingham area for over 30 years and has recently retired as a Minister of Music  Director at a local church (30 years).  Theresa has past experience in theatre and more currently, in film.  She loves mentoring young people in the craft of singing and playing piano!  Part of the lesson experience with Theresa is learning to enjoy performing, and using individual talents to gain confidence in any area of expertise that the student is interested in, including ministry, stage, and recording.  She is also happy to teach students who aspire to learn piano and voice for his or her own private enjoyment, or to enhance one's participation in choirs or bands.  Beginning students will find joy in learning with a fun and practical approach to piano and vocal pedagogy.  Theresa is open to teaching all ages from Kindergarten to adult.  She has traveled extensively, living in eight of the United States, and the countries of Korea, Australia, and Thailand, and she is always excited to meet people and to welcome new students to the Bailey Brothers Community.

      Theresa Thienpont teaches at:
