Performance Experience: Tim has played soprano, alto, tenor, and baritone saxophones in classical and jazz ensembles. He has written and recorded saxophone parts for rock and jazz groups. He has also both played in and directed college and high school pit orchestras, respectively.

Teaching Philosophy: I believe in working towards musical literacy - when a student understands music in such a way that they find new meaning and deeper appreciation in any musical piece. They should also be able to explore the music that interests them, always finding the joy in their musical journey.
Get to know Tim Edwards
Tim has been playing saxophone since 2009. He favored the baritone saxophone after switching from alto in middle school, later playing tenor and soprano saxophones to complete his collection. He has played in classical, jazz, rock, and theatre mediums with groups of all sizes. With a diverse range of musical interests, he can always find something new to check out.
