About Tim Satryan
Get to know Tim Satryan
Tim Satryan is an accomplished woodwinds instrumentalist, originally from Pittsburgh, PA. He has been a playing member of the Springfield (MO) Symphony Orchestra, and has been teaching woodwinds for over 40 years, including locations in Springfield, Missouri, Erie, Pennsylvania, and at Music & Arts locations in Wilmington, Delaware and Exton, Pennsylvania. He has studied with Henry Marconi and Nestor Koval of the Paris Conservatory, and he is a graduate of Duquesne University’s Pappert School of Music. Tim is involved in sacred and secular music, as well as classical and jazz. He can play anything written, but is equally comfortable playing by ear. One of his interesting memories is playing with Benny Goodman, and being invited to play Mr. Goodman’s clarinet! Tim is a “woodwinds doubler,” meaning he plays multiple clarinets, saxophones, flutes, as well as a Yamaha WX5 and an Akai EWI 5000.
