Get to know Tommy Perkinson
For the last fifteen years Tommy has performed live for a variety of touring musical projects on such stages as
The Grand Ole Opry and The Late Show with David Letterman. He also has had the opportunity to record drum set
and percussion on a large number of recording projects at Nashville based studios such as RCA Studio B, Grand Victor
Sound and Ocean Way.
Classically trained at UNC Chapel HIll, Tommy had the opportunity to perform with several ensembles on and off
campus. He is highly experienced in audition preparation and is happy to help any of his students prepare for
upcoming opportunities. From beginners to advanced players, his passion is to help anyone with their musical journey.
