Teaching Experience: Tony has achieved secondary education teaching certification and has previous experience with teaching both middle school and high school level students.
Teaching Philosophy: Tony's teaching style is to work with beginning students in a relaxed approach, while imparting the fundamentals necessary to develop an understanding of the possibilities of the instrument. He will work to help students eventually find their own style after learning the basics. Tony will incorporate small previews of his own learning goals into each lesson to widen the students knowledge, and demonstrate that mastering guitar can be a lifetime pursuit.
Get to know Tony Braunscheidel
Tony has been playing guitar since his early teens. He grew into guitar by taking lessons at a local music store much like Music & Arts. His style was greatly influenced by his early teachers with a focus on fingerstyle guitar and reading musical notation. His focus on acoustic fingerstyle guitar has made for a natural transition into his more recent interest in jazz guitar.
