Get to know Wes Troeger
Wes Troeger (b. 1995) is a multi-instrumentalist and composer from Larchmont, NY. He studied jazz bass and composition at New England Conservatory, and holds a master's in composition from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. His pieces for varied ensembles, orchestra and electronics have been performed in the US and Europe, and his graduate research paper on meaning in music and other artistic media won the Royal Conservatory's award for the best master's research of 2019. Wes returned to New York that year and has since been teaching private guitar lessons to a steadily growing studio. His students range from early childhood to high school age and adults. An experienced performer, he also has a deep interest in Middle Eastern traditional music and plays the Turkish ney, a bamboo flute.
