Education: Will has an MM from Louisiana State and has also studied at Ohio University, Baldwin Wallace Conservatory, and Kunst Uni Graz (Austria).
Performance Experience: Will has performed tenor and bass trombone with regional orchestras in Ohio, Louisiana, and Austria. He’s been the principle trombonist for the Ohio Light Opera in Wooster for two years. As a soloist he’s performed with the Tatanbanya Big Band (Hungary), Eddie Louis Und Gnadenlosen (Austria), Escuala Ernestos Ramos Antonini (Puerto Rico), was the American representative for the ORF Europatag 2016, and the Largemouth Brass Band here in Columbus.
Teaching Experience: Will has maintained a private studio teaching students of all ages and skill sets in every city he’s lived in for the last eight years. In addition to that he’s been involved with, and worked for, various community teaching organizations such as the Athens Community Music School, and the Baton Rouge Kids Orchestra.
Teaching Philosophy: My ultimate goal is to help my students become a more knowledgeable and appreciative music consumer. Whether they choose to pursue music at the next level, or not, they should have a clearer idea of how they experience music.
