About Yolanda Redding

 In 2016, I completely resigned from the medical profession to teach music and perform vocal and instrumental music with various ensembles.  

Musicianship teaching assistant for OrchKids/The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra; Musician for Musical Encounters, Inc., provided vocal and sometimes flute music virtually for residents in long term care facilities.  

Vocal/general music teacher and co-chorus director for grades pre-K to 12. 

Sing on praise and worship teams and directed various church choirs.  

Volunteered as an ancillary band staff member/brass section coordinator with the combined marching band program of two local high schools in Baltimore City.  

Performed various theatrical roles, such as Annie in MSU’s Opera Workshop’s presentation of Porgy and Bess (Spring 2012). In the fall 2012, I performed as one of Maria’s friends in segments of Westside Story with a small ensemble and the Mid-Atlantic Symphony Orchestra; and functioned as the assistant stage manager for MSU’s Opera Workshop’s presentation of Hansel and Gretel.
