Get to know Zach Gilbert
Zachary Gilbert was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina, and has been playing music since the age of 2. His storied career backs up his work ethic. After an 8-year tenure at the studio of Gretchen Roper, South Carolina’s most renowned clarinet instructor, Zachary went on to study for four years at Berklee College of Music, graduating Cum Laude. It was there he also taught private instruction for two years, all while he honed his skills as an accomplished multi-instrumentalist. He has performed with the likes of Victor Wooten, George Garzone, Railroad Earth, and Tony Trischka.
