Performs at such notable clubs as "La Ve Lee", “Spaghettinis", & the “The Baked Potato.” • Freelance professional guitarist in greater Los Angeles area. 1983-Present.

Teaching Experience: • Instructor at Los Angeles’s Musicians Institute – 1989 – present (Currently “on-line instructor”) • Recorded content for Jude Gold’s – “No Guitar is Safe” Podcast-2020 • Author of Popular Hal Leonard book- “The Lictionary” • Has appeared in Guitar Player Magazine as Columnist author for instructional series. Lesson was recorded for “NOTES ON CALL” and released on compilation CD. • On Staff at Los Angeles Music Academy in Pasadena California. . 2001- 2016

Get to know Dave

Dave Hill has been around music his entire life. He started off playing piano as a young boy. He became interested in learning guitar when his 3rd grade teacher offered after-school lessons. He has been playing guitar ever since. Growing up in Seattle Washington, his love of music went in all directions - Pop, country, jazz, blues, rock and folk. His diverse love of music enabled him to soak up the essential characteristics of many styles of guitar playing. Dave relocated to Los Angeles CA in 1982 to go to GIT (Guitar Institute of Technology) Dave relocated to the Buffalo area in 2019. He brings to Music and Arts a diverse range of styles and teaching experience from his 40 years of playing /education. It doesn't make a difference to Dave if a student is a beginner of an advanced player, he will make sure you're enjoying and learning about music.
