About David Perez

I was born in Washington D.C. I grew up loving music from many different genres. I started playing Trumpet and Flute in Middle School. During that time, I learned about this new genre called Bachata. Created in Dominican Republic, it was slowly getting picked up here in the states. The bright chorus tone from the guitar really brought my attention and fell in love with the music and stories that were being told in every song.  Because of Bachata, I decided to learn the guitar in High School.    Unfortunately Bachata was still new and there was no teacher in the area, so I had to be self-taught. 

As I progressed, I started making videos for social media and got well known for it. I was lucky enough to meet lots of talented musicians, Some I grew up listening too as a kid.

I got to play along with Bachata Heightz, Xtreme, and many more.

I love sharing my love of the genre and see there reaction when I show them my custom Acoustic-Electric Guitar I use to perform. They claim to have never seen anything like it.

I'm proud with what I do and I can't wait to see what the future brings.
