About Elaine Quarles

Hello! My name is Elaine Quarles. I'm a graduate of the Hartt School of Music with a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies with an emphasis on voice. I began playing music in elementary school when I started taking piano lessons. Later in elementary, I picked up the trumpet and absolutely fell in love with wind instruments! I played in concert band, marching band, and jazz band all throughout middle and high school as well as sang in chamber choir.  My expertise lies in brass (tuba, trumpet, and euphonium especially), but I have experience on clarinet, flute, piccolo, and bassoon as well. I also play electric and upright bass.

Recently, I've been singing with big bands and jazz combos as well as playing bass for pit orchestras and country bands alike. I'm still playing brass as well! You can catch me writing and arranging jazz and video game music too!
