Education: I graduated in 2006 from Dillard University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Performance located in New Orleans, LA.
Performance Experience: Since graduating from Dillard University in 2006, I have performed at various venues, including weddings, playing for the Marriott hotel in downtown Atlanta, in addition to competing in the citywide NAACP piano competition in which I won first place.
Teaching Experience: I have over 10 years of teaching experience with Music and Arts and also over 15 years of teaching private lessons at the student's home.
Teaching Philosophy: I believe in providing students with the best quality musical education. I constantly emphasize that students practice daily to achieve the fastest results. It's essential that my students experience both a learning and fun environment in regards to music lessons.
Get to know Sultan Shahid
I
have over 20 years of piano teaching experience and received my Bachelor of
Arts degree in Music Performance from Dillard University in 2006. From 2001 to
2004, I attended Brevard Music Center music camp in Brevard, North Carolina,
where I studied with world renowned pianists such as Emanuel Ax and Barbara
Lister-Sink. It is my goal to provide all students with the best musical
education and tools neccessary to be a successful musician. Teaching piano is a
great passion of mine and I look forward to working with you in the future!
